About

Greetings,

I am Joshua, a Christian, a Particular Baptist and a Software Engineer.

I consider myself to be an amateur historian and enjoy delving into books on history, especially European history. Theology has a special place in my heart. I have a fascination for all of God’s creation and am an ardent nature lover.

My mission is to be found faithful and I pray everyday that the Lord will grant me strength to persevere till the very end, by His grace.

Some Important Theological Positions

  1. Bibliology  – The Word of God is infallible and inerrant. It is sufficient for the Christian life for all matters of godliness and good works. It is the only authority for the settling of theological issues. Broadly speaking my position is Biblicist. God has providentially preserved His Word for all time in the Received Text.
  2. Soteriology – Predestination by the Father. Justification by faith alone, not according to the works of the law. Sanctification by the Holy Spirit. Perseverance of the Saints (this is not the same as Once Saved Always Saved). Glorification of those who Persevere.
  3. Anthropology – Complete and radical depravity pervading all matter of being, including our capacity to think rightly (noetic effects of the fall).
  4. Ecclesiology – Elder led Congregationalism.
  5. Eschatology – Apocalyptic Amillennialism – A form of modified idealism with an emphasis on the increasing apostasy in this age and imminent return of Christ.
  6. An outworking of my views of Scriptural Sufficiency is that I strictly hold to what is called the Regulative Principle of Worship. In short it means that anything that is not commanded in the Word of God implicitly or explicitly must be rejected in worshipping God because God desires to be worshipped according to His commandments.

NOTE: The views expressed on this blog are my personal views and do not represent the views of any church or individual apart from me.
